KMC Berlin was full on a beautiful and sunny Saturday afternoon for a joyful and deeply moving course with Gen Kelsang Chokga. With warmth and a very down-to-earth approach, she explained the importance of our intentions, with bodhichitta being the most supreme.
She showed ways to generate this deeply compassionate mind . . . how to make it the focus in our lives, and how we can learn to really appreciate others. What an inspiring afternoon! We are very grateful that Gen Chokga came to see us and, based on New Eight Steps to Happiness by Venerable Geshe-la, shared her understanding and experience with us.
140 people attended the Freedom from Anxiety public talk yesterday with visiting Teacher, Gen Kelsang Rabten.
A heartfelt thank you to Gen Rabten for providing us with practical advice on how to deal with anxiety in our daily lives. Also thank you to Kadampa Teacher, Yasmin Li, for providing the Cantonese translation and to all our kind volunteers for making this lovely event happen.
We are delighted to see many new faces as well as many Sangha who received teachings from Gen Rabten when he was the Resident Teacher of KMC HK from 2011 - 2017. What a happy reunion!
From August 15 to 17, KMC Canada in Toronto hosted an amazing weekend of spiritual teachings based on the International Summer Festival with Guest Teacher Gen Kelsang Zopa from KMC Victoria. Gen Zopa used to be the Resident Teacher in Toronto nearly 20 years ago and it was a real delight to welcome him to our Temple for a whole weekend.
He held the audience captive with his clear and practical presentation of Buddhist spiritual advice to find lasting true happiness from within.
On Sunday, many people stayed after the class to chat, meet each other and enjoy delicious snacks prepared with care. With a few people at the end, we also had the opportunity to have an informal chat over a cup of tea to discuss how to make Dharma flourish in Canada and many inspiring ideas were shared.
From the depths of our hearts, we thank Venerable Geshe-la and Gen Zopa for this priceless and kind advice.
Gen Pagpa, Resident Teacher at Vajravarahi KMC in Preston, came to visit us and gave teachings on Timeless Wisdom for Modern Life at Compassion KMC, Newcastle on Sunday, August 17th. Over 50 people enjoyed this course - taught with clarity and humour. It was a wonderful day of reconnection after the summer break.
An Inspiring New Project that will shape the future of Manjushri KMC's diverse and peaceful woodlands.
