We will explore how loving-kindness and inner peace can become a meaningful
part of everyone's life.
Join our free online book talk and 5-day meditation series on The New Eight Steps to
Happiness — a Buddhist guide to loving kindness and lasting joy.
Live on Saturday, June 28th
9am Pacific Time or 12pm Eastern Time
Can’t make it live? A recording will be sent to everyone who signs up.
After the talk, receive five daily emails beginning on Monday, June 30th, each with a 5-minute guided meditation designed to help you gently build a loving-kindness practice and reduce stress — all from the comfort of your own home.
"We came up with the idea for an online book talk as a way to reach as many people as
possible with the pure, transformative teachings of Kadam Dharma. Since so much of life
happens online these days, we thought—why not offer these timeless teachings in a way
that meets people where they are?
With a traditional book talk, we may reach 20, 50, or 100 people. With an online book talk,
there's no limit! Also, we felt it was important to go beyond the book talk so the participants
get a real taste for the teachings through a series of short meditations.
The New Eight Steps to Happiness felt like a beautiful book to share at this first online event.
So much is going on in the world and this book gives us faith that there's a practical way
forward."
The idea further evolved to film it with a Resident Teacher in their own center. We're pleased
to have Gen Khedrub presenting the book from KMC Boston, as well as a long time student
of KMC Georgia, Mayra Cuevas, moderating. This will give people a peek into what a local
center may be like. Further, we've launched on our US site a clear map of all our regions and
local centers within them. It makes it very easy to get a sense of the breadth of our reach and
what center is close by.
In this post we share information about all the retreats taking place at centers worldwide, offering students an opportunity to deepen their experience of the teachings from the Summer Festival 2026
