KMC LEEDS AT SIXth KADAMPA
TEMPLE FOR WORLD PEACE
In a beautiful union of spiritual friendship and international Dharma community, Kadampa Meditation Centre Leeds (UK) held a very special 4-day retreat at Kadampa Meditation Centre Spain, located in the peaceful mountains of Malaga.
The retreat, titled Life is But a Dream, was guided by Gen Kelsang Dornying, the Resident Teacher of KMC Leeds, who led participants through profound teachings and meditations on emptiness.
Gen Dornying explained and guided the meditations on the emptiness of the body, self, and all phenomena, as well as the union of the two truths, as presented in Modern Buddhism, How to Transform Your Life, and The Oral Instructions of Mahamudra.
The sessions began with The Great Mother prayers to help dispel inner obstacles and deepen our understanding of emptiness.
The retreat brought together participants from both Spain and the United Kingdom, creating a warm and harmonious environment filled with shared inspiration, friendship, and joy. Set against the tranquil backdrop of KMC Spain’s stunning natural surroundings, attendees enjoyed clear blue skies, golden sunshine, and the profound stillness offered by the remote mountainous landscape.
In between sessions, time was shared over meals, walks, and quiet reflection, all contributing to a powerful sense of community and inner transformation.
The retreat offered a rare opportunity to step away from daily distractions and immerse deeply in Dharma practice—nourishing both mind and heart.
