Fall Festival 2024: Organised Visit to Rio de Janeiro
On the last day of the International Fall Festival 2024, there will be a special opportunity to visit the new center in Rio de Janeiro. On Saturday, November 2, 2024, to celebrate the purchase of this center, Kadampas will come together for a tsog puja with Gen-la Kelsang Dekyong, the General Spiritual Director of NKT-IKBU. Festival organizers are now arranging a travel opportunity for those interested in going from the Fall Festival in São Paulo to Rio de Janeiro. Coaches will depart from the Temple site on Friday, November 1, at 2 pm, arriving in Rio between 8 and 9 pm. Hotel accommodation can be booked in the Botafogo neighborhood just beside the new center. The opening ceremony will take place the following day, Saturday, November 2, at 11 am. The bus will return to Sao Paulo on Saturday evening.

22:00 – Arrive in Rio de Janeiro (overnight stay)
The following day:
11:00 – Centre blessing with Gen-la Kelsang Dekyong, General Spiritual Director of NKT-IKBU
Afternoon – Free time for sightseeing
20:30 – Overnight shuttle back to São Paulo

About the new Centre in Rio
The new centre is being developed in the heart of Rio de Janeiro, with a view of the world-renowned Christ the Redeemer statue atop Mount Corcovado, It is in the Botafogo neighborhood near to the beach. The building will feature four floors, including a meditation room accommodating up to 300 attendees, residential facilities, and a rooftop terrace.

Post-Festival Retreat in Rio
In this special retreat, we will have the opportunity to deepen our tantric practice, as well as to more fully contemplate the teachings given at the 2024 Fall Festival of the New Kadampa Tradition - the rarest and most precious teachings of Buddha. Tantric meditations are known as the fastest path to full enlightenment, the state of supreme peace and happiness, of a completely pure mind. It is extremely important that we become familiar with these teachings, especially in today’s world, so that we can learn to transform all our impure experiences and appearances into pure ones, and a source of that supreme peace and happiness.
During the retreat, we will engage in the practices of Quick Path to Great Bliss and Yoga of Buddha Heruka.
The retreat will be guided in English with simultaneous translation into various languages, upon request.
