Spreading Inner Peace and Joy in Our Communities

Two joyful Dharma Celebrations - in Austria and Southeast Asia - featured Buddha Shakyamuni empowerment in Vienna and Buddha Amitayus empowerment in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
This year's Austrian Dharma Celebration took place from April 5th to 7th, 2024, at KMC Austria in Vienna under the guidance of Gen-la Kelsang Kunsang, the National Spiritual Director for Italy, Austria, South Africa, and Switzerland. This unforgettable weekend brought together numerous participants from Austria, Slovenia, Germany, Slovakia, and Switzerland.
The weekend started on Friday evening with an inspiring public talk called Search for Fulfillment—Find the Purpose of Your Life. On Saturday, NKT Day, Gen-la Kunsang granted Buddha Shakyamuni empowerment. Her teachings offered valuable guidance on initiating, deepening, and integrating a successful meditation practice into daily life. Resident Teacher, Gen Kelsang Palden, led the meditations. This gave participants insights into how they can continually cultivate the causes of lasting inner peace and happiness through meditation and transform their lives into joyful spiritual paths.
For all involved, this was a wonderful weekend that connected us with the inspiring power of Buddha Shakyamuni, the practical teachings of Modern Kadampa Buddhism, and a growing community of sincere practitioners in our region. We thank Venerable Geshe-la for his kindness in creating pure Centers, pure Teachers, and joyful Kadampa communities everywhere.
This year's Southeast Asian Dharma Celebration in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, featured Buddha Amitayus empowerment and teachings on The New Eight Steps to Happiness with Gen Kelsang Rabten, National Spiritual Director of Kadam Dharma for Southeast Asia, Australia, and New Zealand.
More than 90 people from Singapore, Malaysia, Vietnam, Thailand, the Philippines, China, and Hong Kong gathered for a deeply blessed Southeast Asian Dharma Celebration! During the Celebration, we had the immense good fortune to be granted the blessing empowerment of Buddha Amitayus, the Buddha of long life, merit and wisdom.
We express our immense gratitude to all of the kind volunteers who applied great effort to make this Dharma Celebration such a smooth and enjoyable event; to our Teachers for the event, Gen Rabten and Gen Rabka; and especially to our holy Spiritual Guide, Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche.
May Dharma flourish throughout Southeast Asia and throughout the world forevermore.
