Buddha's Blessings on the Isle of Cumbrae

This year's Scottish Dharma Celebration took place on the beautiful Isle of Cumbrae. Kadam Bridget Heyes, the National Spiritual Director of the UK, gave hope-filled, inspiring teachings and granted a very blessed empowerment of Buddha Shakyamuni to over 100 people.

Gen Norden, the visiting Resident Teacher in Edinburgh gave an inspiring introduction on faith and Gen Tubchen, the Resident Teacher in Aberdeen guided a series of very peaceful morning meditations to take the teachings to heart.

On Saturday afternoon, many people got out for a wild and windy walk complete with sunshine and rainbows along the stunning coastline.

The atmosphere was very relaxed and full of smiling faces. There is nothing quite like Kadampa joy - even while chopping a mountain of carrots!

People came from all over Scotland and left spiritually nourished and uplifted, with new friends and deeper understandings.
