As the year moves towards Autumn in the Northern Hemisphere, people are looking to enjoy peaceful minds through meditation, and centres are helping them by organising retreats in our beautiful Kadampa Meditation Centres. Below are a few retreats from the last week.

Away Retreat at IKRC Grand Canyon

Members of KMC San Diego and Mahamudra KMC in Hermosa Beach, California held an away retreat at the IKRC Grand Canyon during the weekend of Oct 27-30. The retreat, titled “Real Protection From Fear and Worry,” was focused on going for refuge to the Three Jewels, and was co-taught by KMC San Diego Resident Teacher Gen Kelsang Lhadron and Mahamudra KMC Resident Teacher Gen Kelsang Tsoglam. Nearly 40 people participated, and for most it was their first time visiting a Kadampa Temple for World Peace. How wonderful!

Powa Retreat at Nagarjuna KMC

A beautiful weekend retreat exploring the profound and blissful practice of transference of consciousness, where we rely on Buddha Avalokiteshvara’s blessings to create the causes to take rebirth in his Pure Land.
Such a special weekend with Kadam Bridget Heyes, joined by sangha from around the country at Nagarjuna KMC Thornby Hall. It felt truly blessed.

Taking and Giving away retreat in Tharpaland

KMC Munich organised an away retreat with their Resident Teacher, Gen Kelsang Khandro, at Tharpaland KMC. They held a silent retreat meditating on the teachings on Taking and Giving.
