Meditation Changes Everything Dharma tour in Germany (II)
Nov 9, 2024
Out of his great compassion Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche always encouraged his students to offer Dharma teachings in flexible ways that are applicable to the people in their area. KMC Trois-Rivières and KMC Barcelona recently held events that helped people access Kadampa teachings and meditations.
Celebrating its 20th anniversary, KMC Trois- Rivières in Canada, organized an outdoor meditation tour this summer.
There were many stops in several cities surrounding Trois-Rivières: meditating near the water, next to the Saint-Lawrence river, by the lake… Canada offers so many stunning views in the summer to gather families, friends and meditation practitioners!
The KMC Trois-Rivières’ team rejoiced: “This was a great way for us to check if there was some interest for meditation in the region, and really encouraging to see how many people want to meditate in the area!”
Here are some of the comments by newcomers who had just joined one of the outdoor meditations for their first time.
‘I didn’t know there was a group of people meditating like this here in Trois-Rivières, that’s such a great surprise!’
‘It’s so nice to meditate outside in a park, I could do it for hours!’
This week KMC Barcelona held an inspiring event at the bookstore Casa del Libro, attracting nearly 200 attendees. Resident Teacher, Gen Lochani, gave a talk based on the book How to Solve our Human Problems by Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche. The talk was entitled 'Three Meditations for a Positive Reset' and Gen Lochani explained the transformative power of meditation, emphasizing its ability to bring inner peace and balance to our hectic lives.
The event also served as a valuable opportunity to interest the audience in the upcoming opening of a new meditation space in the city.
