Day 2 ~ Empowerment.

In the two morning meditations we were encouraged to stop distractions, listen only to the words of the meditation and forget everything else as we meditated on not wasting our precious opportunity for spiritual practice in meaningless activities & making a determination to cherish only others. Perfect preparation for the empowerment.   

Then thousands of practitioners deepened their connection with their Spiritual Guide by receiving the Guru Sumati Buddha Heruka Empowerment of Je Tsongkhapa, the founder of the New Kadampa lineage of Buddhism who clarified Buddha’s teachings of sutra and tantra

Empowerment of Je Tsongkhapa

In the Guru Sumati Buddha Heruka Empowerment of Je Tsongkhapa, we received special blessings on our body, speech and mind that cause our wisdom, compassion and spiritual power to increase and for us in the future to become a wisdom Buddha just like Je Tsongkhapa through putting the oral instructions of the Ganden Lineage into practice. As Venerable Geshe-la says, "This is magical!”
