Light & joy in the holiday season
In the first of our reports on activities over the holiday period we include courses with Gen-la Kunsang in Tharpaland Germany and Gen Tabkay in IKRC Grand Canyon, US.

"KMC Tharpaland held its first Christmas Course, which was a great success.
"December 24 -27, Gen-la Kelsang Kunsang guided a course entitled "Kindling a Light in our hearts'' on the healing power of love and wisdom. The Tharpaland Community enjoyed the course in the temple while others enjoyed it live streamed from KMC Edinburgh.
"Once again the teams at Tharpaland and Edinburgh worked perfectly together to make this course available for 57 online attendees in German with English translation. It was so beautiful because this course made Christmas feel very special. Everyone was really happy to engage in it – live or later recorded.
"A big thank you to Gen-la Kunsang who gave the opportunity to train in taking and giving. And also a big thank you to the Sangha in Edinburgh, who helped once again with great joy with the live-stream!"

"IKRC Grand Canyon held its first holiday weekend course, 'Giving Joy', with Gen Kelsang Tabkay, the Resident Teacher of KMC Phoenix. He gave beautiful and clear teachings on how to cultivate the mind of love towards each and every living being both in and out of meditation.

A big part of generating a peaceful, loving mind is making a plan. The people we meet and think about - these are the people I am going to choose to cherish when I arise. These are the people I am going to train my mind in the joy of loving kindness for.
