Kadampa Meditationszentrum Dresden (KMC Dresden) is a thriving Kadampa center in the city of Dresden, where the Resident Teacher is Kelsang Lobma, a German Buddhist nun who has been a sincere disciple of Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche for over 20 years.
Besides an extensive program of courses in the Dresden area, the center also coordinates classes in the Czech Republic, where Kelsang Lobma teaches every fortnight.
Public talk with Gen Ananda
This weekend the center invited Gen Kelsang Ananda, National Spiritual Director of Germany, Slovenia, Romania, and the Czech Republic, and Resident Teacher at Tharpaland KMC and KMC Berlin, to give a public talk entitled How to conquer hate with love.
A sell-out crowd of 200 people poured into the cinema venue to enjoy Gen Ananda's inspiring talk.
Gen Ananda asked the question, 'What can we do about all the hatred in our impure times?' From his deeply compassionate explanation we understood that there is only one solution - to become a loving person ourself.
Everyone enjoyed the event and left with a deep appreciation for Kadam Dharma and its practical application to our modern world.
Dhama Celebration coming soon
Gen Ananda will be teaching at the South Germany Dharma Celebration February 14-16, where he will grant the empowerment of Prajnaparamita and teachings on the Heart Sutra. Receiving these from such a senior, accomplished Teacher is a precious opportunity not to be missed.
