KMC New York in the foothills of the Catskill Mountains is a special place and always a delight to behold, but in the warmth of the fall sun illuminating the golden foliage it is exceptionally pacifying and invigorating.

Here we see people enjoying a recent retreat in this beautiful setting with the Resident Teacher Gen Samten, who gave teachings and led meditations on Guide to the Bodhisattva's Way of Life.

Winter retreats
Now the center is preparing to welcome guests to the International Winter Retreats - ten week-long, stand-alone retreats with Gen Samten based on The Oral Instructions of Mahamudra by Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche - the first six weeks in partial silence and the last four in complete silence.
