‘With deep gratitude for the immense kindness of Venerable Geshe-la's continuous blessings and protection, and through Gen Devi's insightful and skilful guidance, this year’s practitioners have successfully completed Snows Retreat 2019 in Tharpaland.

‘As they break their boundary of silence, many begin to externalise through daily activities. They each prepare to return to their busy daily lives with their own personal precious experiences to benefit others.

This year was the 20th Snows Retreat at Tharpaland. Called ‘The Blissful Path to Keajra Heaven’, it began on Sunday 30th December 2018 with an auspicious blessing empowerment of Buddha Prajnaparamita from Gen Devi, the Resident Teacher and retreat leader.

Generation & completion stage
Then for the next six weeks the retreaters engaged in a Vajrayogini close retreat of numbers, a short close retreat of actions reciting the three-OM mantra 100,000 times while emphasising generation stage practice.

This was a wonderful opportunity to focus on the eleven yogas of generation stage and to enjoy the freedom to train in deepening familiarity and concentration in the context of the Quick Path to Great Bliss sadhana within this blessed retreat environment.

After concluding with a fire puja in mid-February, the retreaters then continued with the Vajrayogini practice of The Uncommon Yoga of Inconceivability based on Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche’s transmission and commentary.
