KMC Singapore was established by Venerable Geshe Kelsang immediately after the 2007 Fall Festival, which had been hosted by Odiyana Centre in Singapore along with all the other Asian Kadampa centres.

A new building was acquired in the same week!

From February 2008 KMC Singapore will temporarily use the ground floor as the meditation room while the main Temple is prepared on the second floor.

The staircase will be moved to make more space for the Temple, and a shrine will be built to accommodate an 8ft Buddha Shakyamuni statue along with statues of Tara and Avalokiteshvara.

These statues will be filled and painted by Asian artists who recently trained at KMC Australia and at Manjushri KMC for this very purpose!

When the Temple is completed, the ground floor will be transformed into a World Peace Cafe.
