More good news from Scotland!

KMC Glasgow closed it’s doors on March 16 to protect our community and to support the governments message of ‘Stay Safe and Stay Home’. Within 4 days of closing our centre, something quite extraordinary manifested . . .

A magical trip to Scotland 

Last week a van set off from Manjushri KMC bound for Aberdeen in the north east of Scotland with a precious cargo from the Kadampa Art Studio.

With the first phase of re-opening of Manjushri KMC successfully completed – the Temple, cafe, shop and grounds once again open to the public and live classes and meditations once again taking place in the Temple – attention now turns to the next phase – an extended programme of in-person and online courses.

Six months at the Mother Center

Gen-la Khyenrab has now returned to Canada and will begin an exciting program of classes at KMC Canada in the coming days. And most of the ITTP students have now departed Manjushri KMC to take up their new responsibilities around the world. As he left, one of the students, Jorge, who was headed for Chile, shared this beautiful photographic diary of his six months at the mother centre.

UK Dharma Celebration 2020 online

The UK Dharma Celebration is a special course on Buddhism and meditation that explains how to apply Buddha’s teachings (Dharma) to modern living. Taught by the National Spiritual Director of the UK Kadam Bridget Heyes, the Celebration is a holiday with a difference – giving you a chance to break free from the hectic routines of daily life and focus on the things that really matter.

The Mother Center re-opens to the public

Tomorrow, Monday July 20, visitors will again be welcomed to the Temple, Cafe, Shop and grounds. After being closed to the public for months due to the covid-19 outbreak, Manjushri Kadampa Meditation Centre is now beginning to re-open.

Life is but a dream

Gen Devi, Resident Teacher at KMC Switzerland and Kailash IKRC, who originally hails from Scotland, was invited to teach an online day course at KMC Edinburgh entitled Life is but a Dream, which was hugely popular with the people of Scotland.

What is inner strength?

Last weekend Heruka KMC in London hosted a special online weekend course given by Gen-la Kelsang Khyenrab, retired General Spiritual Director of NKT-IKBU, called Building Inner Strength. Attended by almost 300 people, it was an extraordinary weekend that touched everyone’s heart in very deep ways. As we can see from the photos submitted by people taking part from their homes, it was both a joyful and meaningful event.
