Last weekend Gen Ananda granted the Dorje Shugden empowerment at Tharpaland Kadampa Meditation Centre. You could really feel his presence and feel his protection. Once again it became clear how important such a true friend and helper is.

Last weekend saw people all over Europe enjoying the Swiss, Italian, Austrian Dharma Festival 2020, with Gen-la Kelsang Kunsang, retired Deputy Spiritual Director of NKT, giving empowerment and teachings from KMC Edinburgh, where she is the Resident Teacher. The meditations and retreat were guided from Kailash IRC in Switzerland.
On Monday, the new building for KMC Plymouth officially opened its doors to the public. The building, previously a bank, was acquired last year and during the lockdown period a team of Kadampas worked tirelessly to convert it into a modern Kadampa city Temple.
KMC Glasgow closed it’s doors on March 16 to protect our community and to support the governments message of ‘Stay Safe and Stay Home’. Within 4 days of closing our centre, something quite extraordinary manifested . . .
This weekend the people of Portugal are enjoying the 2020 National Festival both online and, for a fortunate few, at the beautiful Temple at KMC Deuachen in Sintra.
With the first phase of re-opening of Manjushri KMC successfully completed – the Temple, cafe, shop and grounds once again open to the public and live classes and meditations once again taking place in the Temple – attention now turns to the next phase – an extended programme of in-person and online courses.
In January we featured the work Tharpaland KMC had started on converting the old ballroom in the Schloss into a dining room for guests. Yesterday, during center cherishing, they moved into the newly finished dining room. The previous dining area will now be converted into a modern cafe for visitors.
On a beautiful late summer’s day, the Temple at Manjushri KMC once again opened its doors for an in-person course, welcoming visitors from all directions.
Gen-la Khyenrab has now returned to Canada and will begin an exciting program of classes at KMC Canada in the coming days. And most of the ITTP students have now departed Manjushri KMC to take up their new responsibilities around the world. As he left, one of the students, Jorge, who was headed for Chile, shared this beautiful photographic diary of his six months at the mother centre.
