The National Festival in South Africa brought deep inspiration and blessings to Kadampa practitioners. In Durban, Gen-la Kelsang Sangden granted the empowerment of Buddha Shakyamuni, and the ordained Sangha took part in a Sojong ceremony, creating a deeply meaningful and inspiring event for everyone involved.

Finally, the anticipation of the arrival of Gen-la Sangden was over, and she was with us in South Africa at KMC Durban. None of us could stop smiling. It got better from there, as our South African National Festival approached many of the South African ordained Sangha renewed their vows in a Sojong Ceremony with Gen-la Sangden.

Then followed the most beautiful blessing empowerment of Buddha Shakyamuni - the Buddha who chose our world, our Buddha - and teachings that inspired us and left us all enjoying a special pure energy.
Such deep appreciation arose in us all for everything our Spiritual Guide continues to appear for us right here in Africa.
