Our precious Deputy Spiritual Director, Gen-la Kelsang Sangden, granted the blessing empowerment of Arya Tara at the Fourth Kadampa Temple for World Peace in Portugal, bringing together practitioners from across Portugal and nearby countries for a meaningful and inspiring event.

The Portuguese National Festival 2026, with Gen-la Kelsang Sangden, Deputy Spiritual Director of NKT-IKBU, was a deeply auspicious and inspiring event at KMC Deuachen in Sintra, Portugal.

At its heart was the Green Tara empowerment - a truly special opportunity to receive blessings, inspiration, and spiritual guidance for the times we live in. Gen-la Sangden gave profound and clear teachings on the wisdom of Arya Tara, helping us deepen our understanding and connection to her practice. We felt very fortunate to have such precious events taking place in Portugal and to receive these invaluable teachings.

The Festival continued in full strength. The second day was especially joyful: we began the morning with a peaceful meditation guided by Gen Kelsang Rigden, Resident Teacher at KMC Deuachen, then we received further precious teachings from Gen-la Sangden, and concluded beautifully with our first retreat session guided by Gen Kelsang Chokga, National Spiritual Director for Spain and Portugal. The atmosphere throughout was deeply joyful and inspiring.

The Festival concluded with a deeply inspiring retreat guided by Gen Kelsang Chokga. Through her guidance, we gained experience of the practice The Path to Heaven and returned home feeling more confident, inspired, and inwardly strengthened.

As the Festival drew to a close, participants and volunteers began dismantling the Festival, already looking ahead to future gatherings. This weekend was truly extraordinary, and the positive energy shared will remain with us for a long time. A heartfelt thank you to everyone who attended and helped make this special event possible.
