Post Spring Festival retreats in Spain
Jun 6, 2026
Following a month-long Vajrayogini Close Retreat, practitioners at Kadampa Meditation Center Cádiz joyfully gathered to conclude their retreat with a traditional Vajrayogini fire puja.
After days of heavy rain in the region, the weather kindly offered a brief window of calm, allowing everyone to complete the fire puja in time. This auspicious conclusion felt like a blessing, creating the perfect conditions for this deeply meaningful purification ceremony.
After a Close Retreat such as the one completed throughout the month of January, traditionally it is necessary to purify any mistakes made during the retreat by engaging in this powerful fire puja. From the very preparations, the practice itself becomes a process of purification, mindfulness, and joyful effort.
A small group of dedicated practitioners at Kadampa Meditation Center Singapore successfully completed the Venerable Geshe-la Close Retreat and joyfully concluded this precious retreat with the Vajradaka Burning Offering, guided by their Resident Teacher, Gen Kelsang Rabka.
This retreat became a profound opportunity to deepen our connection with the extraordinary kindness of our precious Spiritual Guide, Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche. The Vajradaka Burning Offering provided a powerful and meaningful conclusion, purifying any mistakes made during the retreat and renewing our minds with strong determination to continue our spiritual practice.
From our hearts, we extend our gratitude to everyone whose effort and dedication made this retreat possible. Above all, we thank Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche for giving us such a complete and practical path to enlightenment within the New Kadampa Tradition.
May these virtuous actions become causes for lasting inner peace and happiness for all living beings.
Deepening our practice with three inspiring Post-Festival retreats in Spain: Gen-la Jampa in Barcelona, Gen-la Kunsang in Madrid and Gen Pandita in Granada.
