MANJUSHRI'S BLESSINGS AT THARPALAND KMC

Recently at Tharpaland KMC in Germany, Gen Kelsang Ananda granted the empowerment of Buddha Manjushri, teaching how Dharma protects and heals the mind. Participants cultivated wisdom, meditation, and gratitude for Venerable Geshe-la - a perfect beginning to 2026

A truly inspiring and perfect beginning to the year 2026: Gen Kelsang Ananda, National Spiritual Director for Germany, Czech Republic, Romania, and Slovenia granted the empowerment of Buddha Manjushri, the Buddha of Wisdom. He offered a profound and practical commentary on how to build the protection of Dharma - our spiritual experience - within our own hearts. Through this empowerment, participants received the blessings of the wisdom of all Buddhas and established a special connection with Buddha Manjushri.

For this special occasion, the Sangha from Berlin and Tharpaland came together to begin the new year in a deeply meaningful way, marking also the start of two Winter Retreats this year. The peaceful, snow-covered landscape provides the perfect conditions for retreat - inviting stillness, reflection, and a clear inward focus.

Gen Ananda offered essential explanations of the five object-ascertaining mental factors from the extraordinary text How to Understand the Mind by Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso. He emphasized that Dharma is the only medicine that continuously protects and heals the mind, and he clarified why understanding these minds is essential for successful meditation.

He further explained that there is no task in our life more important than developing wisdom. Every Dharma realization is a form of wisdom, and our spiritual realizations are the true protection of the mind.

Wisdom is a virtuous “intelligence”, because ordinary intelligence alone does not guarantee happiness - even very intelligent people can still suffer deeply. Wisdom develops progressively through listening to Dharma teachings with joy, contemplating joyfully, and meditating, allowing wisdom to deepen and become our lived experience.

Throughout the event, a deep gratitude was expressed for Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche, the source and origin of all these precious teachings, whose kindness, wisdom, and blessings continue to guide and sustain the New Kadampa Tradition worldwide.
