Weekend Retreats:
A gateway to inner peace

Weekend meditation retreats offer a unique opportunity to find peace of mind, gain a fresh perspective and explore practical ways of thinking for a happier, more meaningful life. Here we visit two away retreats at Kailash IRC and a purification retreat at KMC Glasgow.

KMC GENEVA & SAMUDRA KBC AT KAILASH IRC

During this retreat at Kailash IRC, we received tools to reduce fear and anxiety in our daily life. Through the practice of patience and the awareness of the impermanence of things, we can cultivate a positive attitude towards difficult situations and change our perception into a more constructive and healthy way of thinking.

“It makes no difference whether or not I receive respect, a good reputation or praise. I do not receive any great benefit from these and when I lose them I am not greatly harmed. Words of blame cannot hurt me. Wealth is easily lost, and the pleasures of this life are transient. I do not need to be so interested in these things or overly concerned about them.”

The Perfection of Wisdom at Kailash IRC

Dromtonpa Kadampa Buddhist Center is pleased to share news of the successful meditation retreat, The Perfection of Wisdom – The Great Mother Prajnaparamita, held at Kailash IRC.

Under the skilled guidance of Kadam Hélène Oester, participants engaged in a comprehensive study and practice focused on overcoming ignorance through the wisdom of the Heart Sutra. The retreat format, which included teachings, guided meditations, and silent contemplation, proved to be both profound and highly accessible.

The success of this event was made possible through the exceptional collaboration and support of the Kailash IRC team, whose efforts in hosting and facilitation were invaluable. We extend our sincere appreciation to them, to our Teacher Kadam Hélène, and to all the dedicated practitioners whose participation created a harmonious and impactful retreat.

We look forward to future opportunities to gather and deepen our practice together.

Fresh Karma, Clear Mind: Glasgow's Vajrasattva Retreat

KMC Glasgow engaged in a Karma Detox purification retreat, guided by Gen Sherab, using the beautiful practice of Meditation & Recitation of Solitary Vajrasattva, a powerful method for purifying the mind. Thank you to Gen Sherab for his clear and insightful guidance, and to all who participated in this special retreat.
