Joyful Dharma in South America

Centers throughout South America hosted events recently, bringing together both new and experienced practitioners to delight in the experience of Dharma. Here are highlights from events in Antofagasta and Concepción in Chile, as well as in Colombia and Buenos Aires.

Annual visit of National Spiritual Director to Antofagasta

We had the joy of welcoming our National Spiritual Director, Gen Kelsang Chokyong, Resident Teacher of Kadampa Meditation Center Chile in Santiago.

It was a very special opportunity to bring the Sangha of Antofagasta together and listen to his teachings - full of wisdom, inspiration, and practical guidance that we can apply in our daily lives.

We deeply appreciate his guidance and the time he shared with our community.

Free Public Talk in the Municipal Library in Concepción

More than 85 people had the opportunity to discover and experience a profound sense of mental peace as our Resident Teacher, Kelsang Khandro, explained that developing and maintaining a calm and positive mind throughout the day is the key to feeling truly relaxed and refreshed. We generated a strong motivation to integrate the practice of meditation into our daily lives so we can lead purer lives and experience the immeasurable benefits of meditation.

We thank all the attendees and everyone who made this event possible. From the depths of our hearts, we thank our Spiritual Guide, Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche, for his immense kindness in sharing this liberating wisdom with us.

purification retreat in kmc argentina in buenos aires

At KMC Argentina, we concluded the 9th National Festival in Argentina with a powerful purification retreat, guided by the second Resident Teacher, Kelsang Panchen.

We contemplated, meditated, and gained deep experience in the practice of Vajrasattva. Thank you very much to Venerable Geshe-la for this opportunity.

blessed away retreat in choachi, colombia

“Finish the Year with Wisdom and Peace” was the title of our away retreat in Choachí, where Gen Atisha offered precious teachings and guided meditations based on Advice from Atisha’s Heart. Surrounded by nature and tranquility, participants reflected deeply, reconnected with inner peace, and prepared to enter the new year with clarity and renewed inspiration.

With heartfelt gratitude to Venerable Geshe-la, whose extraordinary kindness makes it possible for us to receive these pure teachings and find real peace in our hearts.
