Another lovely Relaxation Retreat with Gen-la Kunsang this weekend
It's always great to welcome new faces to Madhyamaka KMC and see people make spiritual friendships and discover their own inner peace
Thank you, Gen-la, and big love to the entire Sangha!
This weekend we enjoyed a Summer Retreat in Moclín, near Granada, with the wonderful Teacher Gen Rinchung, who guided us with wisdom and great peace.
It was a special opportunity to delve deeper into the precious Advice from Atisha's Heart and the practice of Tara, understanding the importance of trusting a qualified spiritual Teacher, and the practices of contentment, non-attachment, and non-hatred with alertness —tools that inspire us to improve and strengthen our spiritual practice in our daily lives.
Our heartfelt thanks to all of you who made this possible, creating together an environment of peace and harmony, allowing the Dharma to grow within us.
What a profound joy it was to come together for the Digital Detox: Finding Peace in a Connected World retreat here at the serene and beautiful Manjushri Kadampa Meditation Centre, the mother center of modern Buddhism.
This special retreat led by Gen Pagpa, Resident Teacher of Vajravarahi KMC in Preston, provided the perfect opportunity to consciously disconnect from the constant noise and digital distractions of our daily lives and, in turn, to reconnect with our inner peace and essential nature. Gently guided by the profound and practical teachings of Buddha Shakyamuni and the compassionate commentaries of our beloved Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche, we explored practical methods to reduce our attachment to devices and discover a genuine, lasting source of happiness within our own minds.
The peaceful atmosphere, periods of silence, and the stunning natural beauty of the grounds at Manjushri provided the perfect container to deepen our meditation practice and absorb these precious teachings.
Our hearts are filled with gratitude to Venerable Geshe-la, for his timeless wisdom and the incredible gift of these pure teachings, which are a direct path to peace in this modern world.
We conclude this retreat feeling refreshed, inspired, and equipped to carry a pocket of this digital peace back into our everyday lives.
Kadampa practitioners gathered in Montreal for the Canadian National Festival 2026 with Gen-la Kelsang Khyenrab, following a well-attended public talk on inner peace. Participants received the blessing empowerment of Buddha Prajnaparamita and profound teachings on wisdom and compassion, enjoying a deeply inspiring and joyful reunion of the Canadian Sangha.
