Montreal and Quebec:
Causing pure Dharma flourish
Here are two blessed events from recent weeks in Eastern Canada. In Montreal, they celebrated the 30th anniversary of their beautiful center with a visit from Gen Samten and KMC Quebec held an away retreat.

Events and celebration of the 30th anniversary of the center
Among all the jewels contained within the ocean of Kadam Dharma instructions is the magical practice of taking and giving, which was the focus of our weekend course at KMC Montreal with Guest Teacher Gen Samten Kelsang. Entitled A Meditation Practice For Our Times: Taking And Giving, this weekend course delighted and equipped all the many participants to use this practice to solve their daily problems.
The day before, Gen Samten also gave a public talk, The Healing Power of Meditation, to almost 100 people, and gave priceless advice on the power of our compassion.
These events concluded our celebration of the 30th anniversary of our beautiful center. Thank you to everyone who helped to make these events a reality.

KMC Quebec's bi-annual away retreat
This Spring, our bi-annual away retreat was spent discovering the conventional nature of our mind. What a treat to have this opportunity to connect with our pure, clear nature and allow ourselves to rest, a little bit more each session, in the peace that this clarity evokes.
The full silence was conducive not only to further contemplation, reading and introspection but also allowed us to remain in this peaceful state more easily during the breaks.
On the last day of the retreat, we broke the silence at lunchtime and shared a last meal together. This moment is so very precious as we get to connect with other attendees and share our thoughts and experiences.
Thank you to all those who participated in the preparation and beautiful organization before and during the retreat. Thank you to our Resident Teacher, Marie-Claude Martel, and most of all, thank you to our most precious Spiritual Guide, Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso, without whom none of this would be possible.
