Medicine Buddha & White Tara at Recent Dharma Celebrations
The eleventh Dharma Celebration at KMC Argentina gathered about 150 people from Argentina and Uruguay, celebrating Kadam Dharma with Medicine Buddha empowerment and teachings from Gen Kelsang Rinchung. The Southern Dharma Celebration took place in the US at KMC Georgia in Atlanta. Kadam Morten granted White Tara empowerment to participants from the Southern states of North and South Carolina, Tennessee, Alabama, and Georgia.
The Eleventh Dharma Celebration in Argentina
At the end of March, we celebrated the eleventh Dharma Celebration in Argentina. About 150 people from Argentina and Uruguay participated in person and online. We received special blessings from Medicine Buddha and a commentary on the practice from our National Spiritual Director, Gen Kelsang Rinchung.
Thanks to the kindness of our root Guru, Venerable Geshe-la, we have the opportunity to find the real meaning of our human lives. Throughout the weekend, we rejoiced in our good fortune to have found the clear, complete, and unmistakable teachings of Je Tsongkhapa. We developed the wish to follow his example by taking the medicine of Dharma! It was a wonderful weekend filled with joy and community spirit.
Southern Dharma Celebration - US
New and seasoned practitioners gathered from the Southern states of North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Alabama, and Georgia to celebrate a weekend of Dharma together at KMC Georgia in Atlanta. Kadam Morten Clausen, the Resident Teacher at KMC New York City, granted the empowerment of White Tara and taught on emptiness, the true nature of reality.
The weekend began with an introduction to the Four Seals by Gen Kelsang Norbu, the Resident Teacher at KMC North Carolina, who emphasized Venerable Geshe-la's teaching on subtle impermanence. This primed us well for the subsequent teachings on emptiness. Kelsang Dechok, the Resident Teacher of KMC Georgia, guided us in meditation, allowing us to gain practical meditative experience of these profound and liberating teachings.
Kadam Morten’s way of sharing the Dharma was very relatable and inspiring, leaving us feeling as if a realization of emptiness is not that far away. Sangha friendships were strengthened, and new ones were made. We look forward to the next time we can all meet again to enjoy the holy Dharma.
