This year's German National Festival 2023 holds a special significance as the Kadampa community in Germany celebrates 30 years of Kadam Dharma in the country. As practitioners from all over Germany gather together, we will be remembering with deep gratitude the kindness of our Spiritual Guide and Founder Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche in bringing Dharma into our life.
Attendees will receive a Blessing Empowerment of Buddha Avalokiteshvara and teachings on compassion from Gen-la Kelsang Kunsang.
Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche with the early Kadampa Community in Germany
“When we become a Buddha our happiness radiates eternally as compassion,
nourishing all living beings, and gradually drawing them into the same state.”
- Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche
Gen-la Kelsang Kunsang is well known throughout the Kadampa world as a powerful, warm-hearted Teacher who has contributed to the growth and devlopment of many major Kadampa centres worldwide.
She has been a close disciple of Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche for more than 25 years and is the National Spiritual Director of Austria, Switzerland, Italy and South Africa. She has won the admiration and affection of many students through her pure example and loving-kindness.
Our world needs compassion. Buddha's complete compassion manifests itself in the form of Avalokiteshvara, the union of all enlightened beings. At the German Festival 2023, Gen-la Kunsang will bestow the blessing empowerment and provide a commentary on the practice of Avalokiteshvara from The Mirror of Dharma with Additions by Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso, special and profoundly blessed teachings from the Ganden Oral Lineage that will rapidly enhance our compassion.
