Today we began our first day of retreat on the practice of Heruka Self Generation using the New Essence of Vajrayana sadhana. The retreat was guided skilfully by Gen Tonglam. His gentle voice and calm presence was perfect for taking us into the pure world of Heruka. He reminded us of the essential words of Geshe-la, and helped us deepen our experience of these meditations. We had time to contemplate, meditate and enjoy the beauty of this practice.

The tenth and twenty fifth days of each month are always special days in the Kadampa calendar where we take time to make extensive offerings and requests to our Spiritual Guide and all the Buddhas.  So how glorious this evening to be able to come together as an international family in collective prayers on this special day.
