Mahamudra retreat in the Netherlands
In the first week of July 2023, KMC Oslo organised an unforgettable retreat right in the heart of the Netherlands. This was guided by the Nordic National Spiritual Director and Resident Teacher of KMC Oslo, Gen Kelsang Dragpa.
Some of our fellow attendees came from all corners of the globe, Norway, Germany, Venezuela, and even the United States! Given that not everyone spoke Dutch, we made sure everyone felt included by holding the retreat in English.
The retreat was held in the charming town of Berg-en-Dal, surrounded by the woods and beautiful wildlife.
Everyone found peace and tranquility, whether they were relaxing or wandering along the woodland paths. Some participants enthusiastically stepped forward to assist with various tasks, helping the retreat run smoothly. But the highlight were the incredible meditations that focused on our root mind and subtle mind.
Filled with hope and inspiration, we left the retreat with the vision of creating countless more Kadampa meditation retreats in the magical Netherlands.
