KMC Boston connecting with universities

Boston has the fourth most colleges of any U.S. city, and KMC Boston has been making connections!

Last week Gen Khedrub, the Resident Teacher, a Harvard alumnus gave two talks at Harvard University, making a connection between the ancient wisdom of Kadam Dharma and our youth and future generations.

Outreach event at Harvard Law School

On Tuesday Gen Khedrub was invited to speak at the Harvard Law School on meditation and dealing with stress. The talk and meditation lasted only 40 minutes, but almost everyone stayed for another 60 minutes to ask questions, make connections and chat over a pizza dinner organized by the university. Harvard Law School draws people from around the world, with students in attendance from Nicaragua, Mexico, Columbia, China and Afghanistan.

Outreach event at Harvard Graduate School of Education

On Friday Gen Khedrub was invited to lead a similar event on meditation and dealing with stress at the Harvard Graduate School of Education. After some meditation and a few good questions everyone migrated over to Harvard Yard for a university wide fair celebrating wellness week at the university. More and more educators are interested in the role that meditation and a calm mind can play in education, both for students and for new teachers.
