For Kadampas, the Temples for World Peace are naturally precious and the highest form of architecture.
Designed by Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche based on the holy mandala of Buddha Heruka, they symbolise all the stages of the path we must accomplish to attain enlightenment for the benefit of others.
These Temples stand as beacons of inspiration for the people of this and future generations.
Recently, as if polishing pure refined gold, the King of Spain bestowed an architectural award on the Temple in Málaga, which was received by the architect at a special ceremony in Almeira.
The International Award for Europe was granted by Andalusian Marble Industry Association (AEMA) for the exceptional use of natural materials.
The institutions of Kadam Dharma are increasingly being recognised by mainstream society as valuable contributions to peace and harmony in this world.
This presentation is yet another example of this recognition and is auspicious for the future development of Kadam Dharma in this world.
"The Jury grants the International Award for Europe to the Meditation Temple of traditional oriental architecture that houses 100 columns in national limestone; the same material that has also been used for the four main entrances of the building. It is the sixth temple of this type in the world, and the largest of the three that exist in Europe within this modern trend of religion." - The Macael Awards
