DAY 3 ~ Clear light of bliss

The teachings of clear light of bliss

Yesterday began with what we had all been waiting for - the teachings and transmission of Clear Light of Bliss!

TEACHING EXCERPT

Transforming difficulties

Gen-la Khyenrab covered a lot in his first two teachings, giving us precious essential commentaries to the Guru Yoga practice of Buddha Shakyamuni that is Prayers for Meditation and the Yoga of Buddha Heruka. He said, “Everything is condensed in these prayer booklets that is needed for successful practice, you shouldn’t neglect them,” and advised that our spiritual practice should not be like having fast food, as if we are always rushing we are not nourished by our spiritual training.

Gen-la then taught us clearly and in detail from the first sections of  Venerable Geshe-la's book Clear Light of Bliss, explaining how Venerable Geshe-la views this book as an emanation book, part of the Ganden Oral Lineage, and helping us to appreciate its lineage and our good fortune to be in the direct line of this lineage through our Spiritual Guide.

In the second teaching we also received a precise and detailed explanation of the spiritual anatomy of the subtle body. We are humbled to be receiving these extraordinary teachings!

“This book is like a hidden gem among Venerable Geshe-la’s books. When I read it there was a lot that I felt very inspired by and I have been wishing to know more about this book.”

“Venerable Geshe la last taught this book in 1993 and it started a fire in my heart that brought me to the tradition, to Highest Yoga Tantra, to become a monk, to become a Teacher - he got me with this book!”

“It’s nice to have this book brought to life.”
