Day 1 ~ the festival begins
Welcome to the 2021 Fall Festival Online
Through the great kindness of Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche, this evening at 19.30 UK time, Gen-la Kelsang Dekyong, General Spiritual Director of NKT-IKBU, will begin the 2021 Fall Festival with an introductory teaching.
Then in the following days she will grant the empowerment of Buddha Green Tara and give teachings on the very blessed Tara practice, The Path to Heaven.
During the Festival, the meditations will be led by Gen Chodor, and the concluding retreat will be guided by Gen Rabten.

COUNTDOWN TO CONFIDENCE
The Fall Festival will be both personal and unique to each of us and a common experience shared by thousands of Kadampas across the world. That’s what I love – something very special to me but cocooned within a feeling of great togetherness.
This Festival is particularly personal to each of us. It deals with the two most important and intimate moments of our own life – going out of it and entering a new one. With the Empowerment and commentary to the powa of Ayra Tara we can gain great confidence in managing this transition – and with meditation and retreat we can become comfortable in the practice.
The Festival will give us exactly what we need when we need it most. When “I may die today” becomes our reality we can face it with a confident and positive mind instead of fear and confusion. Which means we can actually live more happily. This really is an incredible opportunity not to be wasted.
And with Genla Dekyong at the helm, we just know that everyone will connect this rare and precious practice. It will be close-up and personal – for everybody.

I CAN'T THINK OF A GREATER LOVE
When I heard that in the Fall Festival our Gen-la Dekyong would grant us the blessings of Green Tara and teachings of powa, being a mother myself,I was deeply moved.
If I think about a person who loves me unconditionally in this world , I think of my mother. She is a single parent and had to raise both my sister and me, she had to be very strong and courageous.
There is no love in this world that can be compare to a mother's love, but not even our dear mother has the power nor the wish to liberate us from the suffering of samsara.
Green Tara, a female Deity, our dear holy mother, has this wish and the power to liberate us from all suffering. She can dispel every obstacle and make our spiritual practice successful.
With the instructions, Green Tara practice of transference of consciousness we will be able to leave samsara forever and we will be able just like her to become a refuge and protector of every living being.
Tara is fearless and she has the power to show us the direction - and to disappear all the obstacles from our spiritual path. I can't think of a greater love than the love of our holy mother Green Tara.
I'm really looking forward to receiving her blessings and teachings, especially now that we are so in need.
