With the last two sessions of the retreat this morning, the 2021 Spring Festival comes to a close. This special sequence of introduction, empowerment, commentary and brief retreat designed by Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche is used at all International Festivals, making these events suitable for everyone, beginners and experienced practitioners alike. Our next opportunity to enjoy this special presentation will be during the two weeks of the 2021 Summer Festival in a few weeks time.
Venerable Geshe-la, everything we have enjoyed at this Festival has emanated from your compassionate intention and extraordinary vision. From the depths of our hearts we thank you for your unceasing kindness and pray that you will remain with us for a very long time, always enjoying excellent health.

THE CAUSES WE CREATE
Today as every day, when he heard the Liberation Prayer, my cat came and asked to be on my lap.
This is the beautiful ritual we have every morning, and it is the same during this festival.
This year, because of the world situation, I don't really share this festival with other people (except my cat), and I felt like I was in a strange mood, a mixture of nostalgia and loneliness that Saturday early in the day.
But when I saw my cat arrive and ask to sit with me, I instantly felt joy, thinking of the beautiful causes that were being created for him: seeing all the Buddhas, the offerings, hearing the prayers, seeing his fur mom calm and quiet and him simply enjoying it.
So instead of getting inappropriately focused on the fact that it wasn't possible to be physically present with the Sangha at this special time of year, I spent the last few days thinking about all the beautiful causes that were created this weekend all over the world.
How many people were engaged in recitation, in meditation? How many people were perhaps there for their first festival? How many felt blessed to be connected to Guru Sumati Buddha Heruka? How many were touched by Gen-la Khyenrab's teachings and moved by Geshe-la's great kindness?
And I was trying to imagine all these beautiful causes that will ripen into good fortune in the future.
So, for the days ahead, I wish you all a beautiful and inspiring retreat and please, even though we are all physically separated, strive to feel the incredible Karma we are creating together and... don't forget to dedicate!

Participating in a Festival is something indescribable ... I have some thoughts fixed in my mind ... and suddenly the teachings of the Festival arrive ... it is a complete update .... It is like becoming a monk: new name, new appearance and new life.
And it's not just that... seeing the diaries is something supreme - people's faith... my gosh, this is supreme!
