A tale of resilience and adaptation - how a modern Kadampa center continues to serve the public during the pandemic - and even take advantage of the situation to improve conditions.
"During the second lock-down at KMC Toulouse, it was decided that because of the curfew restrictions it would be easier to set up a studio to record the sessions in the Toulouse apartment rented by the Tradition.
"A new Meditation Room appeared in what was the living room, with the statues of Vajrayogini and Je Tsonghkapa, which were moved to recreate a shrine.
"Life in the apartment changed quite a bit during this time! During the sessions: no more moving around in the living room or going for a snack in the kitchen!
"Finally, with the easing of curfew conditions, it became possible to restore the energy of the centre, which the sangha was missing, and last Wednesday. we moved back into the centre!
"We reinstalled the statues and set up the camera, projectors, and computer. And we took advantage of the opportunity to tidy up, move some furniture, and remove the screens to open the centre to the view of passers-by. A small reception area at the entrance with armchairs will be set up soon."
