When we think of  International Temples Day, it is easy to think it is primarily about Temples, but as Gen-la Dekyong explains in this excerpt from a talk she gave at Manjushri KMC, on this day we celebrate all the activities of the International Temples Project (ITP).

Arising from the extraordinary mind of Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche, the ITP oversees the practical development of Venerable Geshe-la's vision, including Temples for World Peace, City Temples, Kadampa Meditation Centers, Kadampa Buddhist Centers, and International Retreat Centers, as well as the Kadampa Art Studio, Tharpa Publications and much more.
