Three special events took place recently: the blessing empowerment of Buddha Shakyamuni in Mexico City; Buxton in the UK; and Calgary in Canada. These empowerments offered a precious opportunity to connect with the wisdom and blessings of Buddha Shakyamuni, awaken our inner potential for lasting happiness, and deepen our spiritual practice.
The Path to Lasting Happiness ~ BUDDHA shakyamuni EMPOWERMENT

Recently, KMC Mexico enjoyed a wonderful event with the blessing empowerment of Buddha Shakyamuni and teachings on the four noble truths given by Gen-la Kelsang Sangden, Deputy Spiritual Director of the New Kadampa Tradition.
Through the kindness of our Spiritual Guide, Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche, and the blessings of Buddha Shakyamuni, participants received practical guidance on the essential teachings of the four noble truths: understanding suffering, abandoning its causes, practicing spiritual paths, and attaining lasting freedom from suffering.
Gen-la Sangden encouraged everyone to recognize and gradually reduce their delusions, developing pure intentions that lead to genuine happiness and inner peace. The teachings inspired participants to deepen their spiritual practice and strengthen their determination to follow the path that leads to permanent freedom and the ability to benefit others.
The event also provided a precious opportunity to gather with spiritual friends, share meaningful experiences, and strengthen the sense of community. Deep gratitude goes to all the volunteers and participants whose kindness and dedication made this inspiring and transformative event possible.
A Day Filled with Joy, Inspiration and Blessings
AT SAMUDRA KBC with Gen Kelsang Dema
Recently, the community at Samudra Kadampa Buddhist Centre in Buxton received the empowerment of Buddha Shakyamuni. It was a peaceful and happy day filled with inspiration, joy, and spiritual friendship.
The event was guided by Resident Teacher Gen Kelsang Dema, whose teachings and example encouraged everyone to deepen their practice and strengthen their connection with Dharma. It was a wonderful opportunity for the community to come together, share meaningful experiences, and create many positive memories.
We would like to thank everyone who contributed to making this special day possible. Most importantly, we offer our heartfelt gratitude to Buddha Shakyamuni, the founder of Buddhism, and to our precious Spiritual Guide, Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche. Through their extraordinary kindness, we have the opportunity to receive these precious teachings and develop the inner peace that leads to lasting happiness.
Receiving the Blessings of Buddha Shakyamuni in Calgary
AT Akshobya KBC with Gen Kelsang Khacho
Recently, Akshobya Kadampa Buddhist Centre held a blessing empowerment in Calgary, bringing together practitioners from across Alberta and beyond. Students travelled from Edmonton, Okotoks, and other areas to join the local Sangha in receiving the blessing empowerment of Buddha Shakyamuni from Resident Teacher Gen Kelsang Khacho.
The center was filled with a joyful and blessed atmosphere as participants gathered to strengthen their connection with Buddha Shakyamuni, the founder of Buddhism. Following the empowerment, Gen Khacho gave a commentary to the Liberating Prayer, helping everyone deepen their understanding of this precious practice and its relevance in daily life.
The day provided a wonderful opportunity for spiritual friends to come together, receive blessings, and deepen their faith in Buddha’s teachings. As the day drew to a close beneath vast Alberta skies and the backdrop of the Canadian Rockies, participants reflected on the extraordinary kindness of Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche in making these precious teachings available in the modern world.
With grateful hearts, we dedicate the merit of this special event to the flourishing of Kadam Dharma throughout Canada and beyond.
