The extraordinary blessings of Buddha

Kadampa communities in New Zealand, Austria, and beyond enjoyed deeply meaningful gatherings at the end of April. From Vajrasattva and Vajrapani empowerments to teachings on karma and overcoming attachment, practitioners strengthened their inner peace and spiritual confidence, leaving them inspired to rely upon Dharma and make their lives increasingly meaningful for the benefit of others.

New Zealand Dharma Celebration 2026

Over the long April weekend, more than 50 practitioners from across New Zealand gathered in Auckland for the New Zealand Dharma Celebration with Gen Kelsang Rabten, the National Spiritual Director of Australia, New Zeland and South East Asia. It was a deeply joyful and harmonious event, filled with connection, inspiration, and the blessings of the empowerment of Buddha Vajrasattva.

Gen Rabten then gave a profound series of teachings on purification and the law of karma, sharing many meaningful insights from Venerable Geshe-la’s books. Each morning began with a peaceful guided meditation led by Gen Kelsang Lachpa, setting a calm and uplifting tone for the day.

Between sessions, participants enjoyed relaxing together in the warm autumn sunshine by the nearby beach. Heartfelt thanks to everyone who participated - we look forward to gathering again next year.

Mahayana Refuge Ceremony

The Ceremony took place at KMC Barcelona, Spain. Guided by Gen Kelsang Lochani, we reflected on the nature of attachment and how this delusion obscures the true refuge available to each of us - a protection that is much closer than we often realize.

We leave with Buddha in our hearts and a renewed, heartfelt intention to make our lives truly meaningful. A sincere thank you to everyone who contributed to making this such a special and inspiring day.

Vajrapani’s Spiritual Power in Vienna

From April 24 - 26, a special blessing empowerment of Buddha Vajrapani was held at Kadampa Meditation Center Austria in Vienna - offering a precious opportunity to deepen our inner spiritual strength.

Our Resident Teacher, Kelsang Sila, granted the empowerment, enabling us to receive powerful blessings and strengthen our connection with Buddha Vajrapani. She also shared special teachings given by Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche in 2008 on Vajrapani practice. The weekend meditations were guided by Marius Fischer.
