Over the course of three days at KMC Paris (May 8–10), 76 people — both in person and online — purified their negative karma through the practice of Vajrasattva, a powerful method taught by Buddha for purifying karma. Gen Kelsang Tonpa led the sessions, explained the practice, and answered numerous questions on the subject.
"We had teachings from Gen Tonpa and we also had plenty of time to meditate and recite mantras," says Hélène, who took part in the three-day retreat. "We were really able to deepen our practice. I could feel it when I got home and practiced on my own again — I felt I'd developed a deeper understanding."
The community of KMC Metz (and beyond!) enjoyed a magical retreat in the heart of the Vosges mountains under the guidance of Resident Teacher, Gen Kelsang Konchog.
Practitioners from Strasbourg, Mulhouse, Saint-Avold, Nancy, Épinal, and other regions of France also joined us. It was wonderful to share these moments of inner peace and warmth together.
The theme of this retreat, An Ocean of Joy in a Heart Full of Love, allowed everyone to enjoy a beautiful meditative experience.
Gen Konchog guided us step by step through equanimity and affectionate love, cherishing love to open our hearts, and then wishing love leading us toward the precious mind of bodhichitta.
Between sessions we enjoyed rejuvenating walks in the forest and a gentle stroll to a nearby waterfall.
Recently many practitioners from KMC Montpellier came together for a countryside walk and meditation.
It was a wonderful opportunity to share Dharma among friends, engage in simple and accessible meditations, and contemplate the practice of taking and giving. Both the walk and the meditation were guided by Resident Teacher, Kadam Olivier.
It was a wonderful afternoon enjoyed by everyone — families, pets, and older and young people alike. It was proof that everyone is truly welcome in Kadampa communities.
From profound retreats and practical teachings to joyful family gatherings, these inspiring events from around the world show how Kadam Dharma helps people cultivate inner peace, wisdom, compassion, and lasting happiness.
