30 Years of Compassion:
Newcastle, UK, Celebrates
To celebrate its 30th anniversary, Compassion KMC opened their newly renovated meditation room. The event was also marked by the visit of two of its past Resident Teachers.
Compassion KMC, Newcastle welcomed Gen Delek (our Resident Teacher from 30 years ago), who guided a post-festival meditation retreat on The Buddhist Way of Loving Kindness on 31 May in the newly completed meditation room and gave a talk on What is Modern Buddhism on 1 June.

30 YEARS OF COMPASSION CENTER
We celebrated 30 years of Compassion Center with a talk followed by a brunch party on June 1. The meditation room extension was largely powered by volunteers and skilled Compassion Center students - including an architect, geologist, building manager, farmer, miner, plasterer and design creative. Gen Sherab, our Resident Teacher for 20 years, was also able to join us on this day of celebration.
