June 4, Turning the Wheel of Dharma Day, Kadampas around the word celebrated the 88th birthday of the Holy Spiritual Guide, Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche.
There were literally hundreds of pujas and parties around the world, with some beautiful birthday cakes and other offerings. Space does not permit us to show them all, but here is a small selection.
After guiding the post-Festival retreat at Tharpaland KMC, Kadam Bridget, National Spiritual Director for UK & Ireland, travelled to Berlin where she gave a public talk at KMC Germany entitled Ängste und Unsicherheit überwinden - Overcoming Fears and Anxiety.
Resident Teachers Gen Gomlam and Gen Zamling skillfully guided meditations on the clarity of mind to both new and experienced practitioners.
'We enjoyed beautiful external conditions on the shores of Lake Michigan, and created peaceful internal conditions through our meditations and practice of virtue.'
Thursday evening at KMC Paris, 115 people attended the "Goodbye anxiety" public talk with Kadam Morten. The meditation room of the center was full to receive the National Spiritual Director of the Eastern United States - a great opportunity for dozens of people to discover KMC Paris and meet Kadam Dharma for the first time.
Kadam Morten captured the audience's attention and touched their hearts. Most people stayed long after the talk and enjoyed a generous snack prepared by the sangha of KMC Paris. A very successful evening!
Last weekend KMC Washington organised an amazing Away Retreat on Whidbey Island.

Yesterday we reported on some of the post-Festival retreats around the world that have already concluded, but there are still more to come.
The retreat at KMC Florida was scheduled for this weekend.
Seventy people came to listen to Gen Samten and enjoy some blissful meditation sessions.
And at KMC Australia 120 people gathered to hear Gen Dornying relay the teachings from the NKT-IKBU International Spring Festival.
