Kadampa Art Studio
The statues and other art forms produced at Kadampa Art Studio are cast in polyurethane (PU), which has to be freshly mixed for each casting and is notoriuosly difficult to work with.
Until now the Studio has used a small, inefficient mixer but this week they visited a company who have designed a much larger, bespoke mixer specifically for the Studio.
Due for delivery in the next couple of weeks, the mew machine will drastically speed up the production process and eliminate waste.
Yesterday was NKT Day - a special day on which we celebrate the extraordinary achievements of Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche in developing all the conditions for modern Kadampa Buddhism to flourish in this world.
Many centers around the world sent photos and stories of their NKT Day activities - too many for this post, so we will publish a special post tomorrow with a selection of these stories.
