Residents, visitors and local volunteers busied themselves over the two days of the annual spring clean to prepare the center for the upcoming Spring Festival.

With joyful minds and great energy they cleaned, scrubbed and polished the public areas. And at the end enjoyed a pizza supper together.

It is just over six weeks now before Kadampas from all over the world gather at Manjushri KMC to receive Vajrasattva empowerment and teachings on purification from Gen-la Khyenrab.

Gen-la is a popular and experienced Teacher and the subject of purification is on may people's minds, so this promises to be another powerful Festival.

If you have not yet booked there is still time to do so. Visit the Spring Festival website for more information and booking.

Kadampa Art Studio

The statues and other art forms produced at Kadampa Art Studio are cast in polyurethane (PU), which has to be freshly mixed for each casting and is notoriuosly difficult to work with.

Until now the Studio has used a small, inefficient mixer but this week they visited a company who have designed a much larger, bespoke mixer specifically for the Studio.

Due for delivery in the next couple of weeks, the mew machine will drastically speed up the production process and eliminate waste.

Many centers around the world sent photos and stories of their NKT Day activities - too many for this post, so we will publish a special post tomorrow with a selection of these stories.
