In two distant parts of the USA – Phoenix in Arizona and Boston in Massachusetts – Kadampa communities organized special events to promote inner peace and celebrate their activities. The 20th-anniversary celebration of KMC Phoenix and the Guest Teacher visit to KMC Boston welcomed many participants.
Grand opening of the new Centre in Sao Paulo was inaugurated by a public talk with the General Spititual Director of the NKT – Gen-la Dekyong – and a ceremony opening the new space in the heart of the city. Celebrating its 30th anniversary in 2023, Kadampa Meditation Center Mahabodhi, situated in São Paulo, holds historical significance as the Centre where the precious Kadam Dharma first took root in Brazil.
KMC Monterrey & Tharpa Mexico were present at the 31st Monterrey International Book Fair distributing the work of Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche. There were nine days of activities which including a presentation of the book ‘How to Understand the Mind’ and interviews with local TV channels and there were thousands of interested visitors.
On October 28th, KMC Brooklyn held its third annual Walk and Talk at Green-Wood Cemetery to explore Buddhist thoughts around death, impermanence, and how to best use our precious human lives.
The long-anticipated opening weekend of the new meditation space in Barcelona was an exciting and well-attended event that brought together over 500 people from the local, national, and international Sangha. The atmosphere was filled with peace and spirituality.

This year many people celebrated together with a special “movie night”, featuring a new video that showed the development of the New Kadampa Tradition since its roots and presented new developments from various locations worldwide.
