In an empowerment we hear: ‘please now imagine, imagine this, imagine that. We should never ignore imagination. Correct imagination is part of wisdom. This is not like the fantasy of a child. Training in imagination is important. In How to Transform Your Life, Venerable Geshe-la explains this. Through strongly imagining we are already a Buddha, we gradually become a Buddha. If we cannot even imagine attaining enlightenment, we never will. Why? Everything is a mental creation.
