On September 20-21, Kadampa students and teachers around the world came together at their centers to honor their Spiritual Guide, Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche, who passed into the clear light on September 17.
Today we repeat a precious video that was made at the end of the Summer Festival 2020.
Today, Buddha’s Return from Heaven Day, we feature a selection of video excerpts of Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche’s teachings over the years.
Many times Venerable Geshe-la told how he visits all Kadampa centers with his mind every day, frequently saying, “I will always be with you.” Now that the Emanation Body Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche has dissolved into the clear light of the great bliss of Heruka, how are we to understand this?
At Venerable Geshe-la’s request that for auspiciousness at this time all Kadampa centers around the world will engage in a short retreat using his special prayer, Request to the Holy Spiritual Guide Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche from his Faithful Disciples, here is the program for retreat at Manjushri KMC.
During his remarkable life, Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche touched the hearts of countless people throughout the world. His wisdom, kindness and compassion are unequalled in these uncertain times. As we will see in coming articles, Venerable Geshe-la’s legacy is both extraordinary and world-changing.
On September 17 our most precious Spiritual Guide Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche showed the manner of passing peacefully into the clear light. Venerable Geshe-la requested that for auspiciousness at this time all Kadampa centers around the world engage in a short retreat using his special prayer, Request to the Holy Spiritual Guide Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche from his Faithful Disciples.
