For many Kadampa centers, January is a retreat month and retreats of various levels and duration are organised at centers around the world. Here is a selection of the longer ones:
After giving a powerful public talk at KMC Berlin, Gen Ananda is now heading for Vienna and Lubiljana where he will give further public talks and weekend courses
At KMC LA, one of the most joyful events each year is the annual Walk for World Peace, a day of fun and fundraising. All funds raised go to support KMC LA’s efforts to help people in the Los Angeles area develop peaceful minds, increasing inner peace and thereby world peace.
This weekend Kadampa Meditation Centre Argentina hosted the seventh National Dharma Festival with practitioners from Argentina and Uruguay.
Last weekend, many people – new practitioners and more experienced Kadampas alike – gathered together from all over the UK to listen to Gen la Thubten’s powerful explanations of how we can use Dharma to solve all our daily problems and make ourself happy all the time.
This weekend, Kadampas around the world celebrated International Temples Day with joyful gatherings.
In particular we reflected on the extraordinary auspicious deeds of Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche to facilitate the growth and development of Kadampa Buddhism throughout the world.
In the annual Refuge retreat guided by Gen Lochani at the KMC in Barcelona the students have been able to savor that the best way to love oneself is to enter the path of Buddhism, for our own sake and that for the sake of others.
On this day we celebrate the work of the International Temples Project inaugurated by Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche to facilitate the growth and development of Kadampa Buddhism throughout the world.
After three years without an in-person National Festival, last weekend people from all over Chile gathered to receive empowerment and teachings from Gen-la Kelsang Jampa, Deputy Spiritual Director of NKT-IKBU.
KMC Philadelphia recently celebrated 25 years with their original Teacher Gen Kelsang Norden. Meanwhile, Menlha Kadampa Buddhist Center in Lambertville, NJ also celebrated their 25th anniversary the same weekend.
