This last weekend some Kadampa centers organized group retreats. The retreats were very different and held in different parts of the world, but what everyone experienced in common was a weekend that left them feeling peaceful, inspired and happier.
There was a joint retreat with KMC Arizona, KMC Phoenix, and KMC New Mexico at IKRC Grand Canyon (US), and retreats at Nagarjuna KMC (England) and KMC Merida (Mexico).
After four years’ work Tharpa Sweden was finally able to publish “How to Understand the Mind” in Swedish. This is the fifth book of Venerable Geshe-la’s to be published in Swedish and we celebrated this milestone with a book launch where everyone received their own copy of the book.
Following the Spring Festival, the Kadampa Meditation Centers in Kensington, Berlin, Hamburg and Barcelona held compelling public talks with special guest Teachers.
Yesterday we shared some of the photos from centers around the world, of practitioners offering their faith by reciting the special prayer Request to the Holy Spiritual Guide Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso from his Faithful Disciples with the recitation of our Guru’s mantra in a one-day retreat. On June 4, Kadampa Centers around the world celebrated the extraordinary life and dedication of Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche and the first Turning of the Wheel of Dharma.
This year, a group of 54 students from KMC Hong Kong enthusiastically participated in the annual International Spring Festival given at Manjushri KMC. The Festival goers have generously shared their photos and personal experiences with us as a source of inspiration and joy.

We recently held our Walk for World Peace, an annual event organized by KMC New Mexico. This is our annual fundraiser to raise money for the NKT International Temples Project, to contribute to building Temples for world peace. We had many volunteers from our community donate their time and energy to support the event. Through our kind sponsors, we reached our fundraising goal!

Today, Dharmachakra Day, is the day we celebrate the birthday of our precious Spiritual Guide and Founder of the New Kadampa Tradition, Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche. Venerable Geshe-la worked throughout his life to make Kadam Dharma available to people throughout the world, showing how it is the best method to solve daily problems.
