Bonus Bulletin 8 July

It's another beautiful day at the Festival. It's warm and sunny, and the atmosphere is happy, relaxed and very blessed. We start the day with beautiful Amitayus prayers and this is followed by a series of extraordinary teachings from Gen-la Khyenrab giving deep insight into the practice alongside practical teachings from The New Eight Steps to Happiness.
As always, one of the most uncommon elements of the Festival is that it is entirely run by those attending the Festival. This brings so many extraordinary benefits. It gives everyone a chance to cherish each other, to embody the teachings we have been receiving on equalizing and exchanging self with others, practicing humility and accumulating merit.
As a result we get to experience a very engaged and pure society, and to see how rewarding it is to be interconnected in a very active web of kindness. It is so inspiring to see all the joyful effort, as people cook and clean, take turns serving and being served, co-ordinate the spiritual program, keep the Temple clean and so much more. Everywhere we look we see cherishing in action and the true happiness this brings.
The Festival deepens our experience of Dharma, enabling people to return to their families and communities with purer intentions and more compassionate hearts. This positive transformation naturally affects everyone around them, so through all our activities here we are helping to benefit all living beings.
In this podcast, taken from the Spring Festival 2026, Gen-la Khyenrab guides us to recognise our self-cherishing mind as our true inner enemy, showing how this delusion is the root cause of all our suffering and problems.
From profound retreats and practical teachings to joyful family gatherings, these inspiring events from around the world show how Kadam Dharma helps people cultivate inner peace, wisdom, compassion, and lasting happiness.
