International Summer Festival 2025 diaries
Summer Festival 2025 has been very powerful and special. Now, as we near its completion, it is ending so strongly. Following the collective effort of attending the six sessions of the Tara retreat, on the final morning everyone is happy and grateful to gather again in the Temple to make a beautiful thanking offering to our precious Spiritual Guide and Founder, Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche.
Day 16 ~ Thank you, Venerable Geshe-la
As we engage in Offering to the Spiritual Guide beautiful sung prayers once again fill the Temple. We dedicate and rejoice in the truly vast collection of merit we have been able to create together, all coming from the kindness, vision and blessings of our kind Teacher and Guide.
"You who take on the great responsibility of caring in every way for the doctirne and migrators, Giving to everyone equally, without discrimination, the precious opportunity to accomplish one's own purpose and the purpose of others;"
the function of our International Festivals
The best way to understand the function of our international Festivals is to attend one. What you discover is that the ordinary world recedes for a while, and a pure spiritual world grows strong and vibrant. You meet and work with dedicated Kadampas from around the world and discover the collective strength, determination and vision of our international community.
Strength & Blessings
We begin to feel extraordinary things are possible, that real spiritual progress is achievable in this life, that we can develop unusually pure minds that lead out of samsara and suffering, and that the attainment of enlightenment is our true potential. We return to our individual countries, Dharma centers and homes renewed and strengthened.
The Festivals shine bright in an often dark world, a beacon of hope, unity and peace. We leave with many jewels to reflect on, to practice, to rediscover in the future. We are indescribably and forever transformed by the experience and as a result the determination grows to attend in person the International Fall Festival in Arizona.
May we continue strengthening and growing our own spiritual life and our collective Kadampa vision for hope and peace in the world. If you have been reading the diaries and rejoicing in all the activities of the Festival, or joining online, we hope you can join us again in the fall, in person or online.

Be filled with hosts of Sangha and Yogis
Striving to practise single pointedly the three pure trainings
And thus may there be the auspiciousness of Buddha's doctrine remaining for a very long time."
