The Mid-Atlantic Dharma Celebration 2023 was held at KMC Maryland. Kadam Morten, National Spiritual Director for Eastern USA granted the blessing empowerment of Buddha Amitayus and gave inspiring teachings on this practice.
This year’s Austrian Dharma celebration held April 14 – 16th 2023 with Gen-la Kelsang Kunsang, National Spiritual Director for Italy, Austria and Switzerland, was an unforgettable weekend with participants from all over Austria, Slovenia and Switzerland.
Nyungnay retreats to purify negative karma, teachings, empowerments and courses, were just some of the ways practitioners marked the anniversary of Buddha Shakyamuni demonstrating the attainment of enlightenment.

This weekend, Kadampas around the world celebrated Buddha’s Enlightenment Day with joyful gatherings and devoted practice. Nyungnay retreats to purify negative karma, teachings, empowerments and courses, vegetarian feasts, and activities for young people were just some of the ways practitioners marked the anniversary of Buddha Shakyamuni demonstrating the attainment of enlightenment.
Last weekend Gen Kelsang Dragpa, the National Spiritual Director of the Nordic region, granted the empowerment of Buddha Prajnaparamita and gave commentary to the practice at this year’s Swiss Dharma Celebration.
April 15 is Buddha’s Enlightenment Day! On this day we celebrate Buddha Shakyamuni appearing in our world and demonstrating the manner of attaining enlightenment.
Last weekend Gen Kelsang Rabten, National Spiritual Director of Australia, New Zealand and South East Asia granted the blessing empowerment of Buddha Vajrasattva at this year’s Australian Dharma Celebration.
Last week more than 500 practitioners from all over Spain gathered at the 6th Kadampa Temple for World Peace in Málaga to celebrate the Spanish National Festival taught by Gen-la Kelsang Kunsang, the National Spiritual Director of Austria, Switzerland, Italy and South Africa.
To a packed temple over Easter weekend Gen-la Kelsang Thubten taught a profound and yet immensely practical course on the practice of closed placement of mindfulness.
Following the commentary by Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche, ‘Meaningful to Behold’ and Shantideva’s root text ‘Guide to the Bodhisattva’s Way of Life’ Gen-la taught how to meditate on the emptiness of our feelings and to stop grasping at our feelings as being truly existent.
