Last week an extremely fortunate group of meditators enjoyed a post Summer Festival retreat on the Oral Instructions of Mahamudra at the stunningly beautiful Kailash IRC in the Swiss mountains.

The retreat was led by Gen-la Kelsang Kunsang retired Deputy Spiritual Director of NKT-IKBU and National Spiritual Director of Switzerland, Austria and Italy.

Gen-la began by leading sessions on the preliminaries including renunciation, refuge, love, compassion and bodhichitta. She then progressed to the five stages of Mahamudra as taught by Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche in his extraordinary book The Oral Instructions of Mahamudra.

To meditate on such profound instructions with such a precious Teacher in such a blessed place was a deeply meaningful experience for everyone.
